Florida is home, and every market here is a drive

Florida is the one state where we are not visitors. Our workshop, our fabrication floor and five generations of florists are in Kendall, Miami, and every other Florida market on this page is reached by road from that door. No airfreight, no crating for a plane, no crew flights — which is why a Florida quote reads differently from a Texas or Utah one.

That proximity changes what we can offer, not just what it costs. Site surveys happen in person before we quote. A structure that needs adjusting goes back to the bench and returns the same week. Recurring programs make financial sense for mid-sized venues because there is no freight line to absorb every time we re-dress an armature.

The state is not one market though. South Florida runs on marine, hospitality and a compressed winter social season. Central Florida runs on conventions and resorts with a year-round calendar. The historic north-east coast runs on destination events inside protected buildings where nothing can be drilled. We plan each of those from the actual venue rules rather than a template.

Send the venue, the date, the access window and the budget. We will tell you honestly whether the date is buildable, whether fresh, preserved, faux or a mix is right for that room, and what the drive actually adds — which in most of Florida is very little.

Florida booking windows

The state's calendar is what decides whether a date is buildable. These are the seasons we plan around and the point at which a custom build has to be committed.

South Florida winter season

November – April

Galas, club dinners, art and design weeks, and the densest private-event calendar in the state.

Booking window: Eight to ten weeks for a custom room; peak Saturdays in February and March go far earlier.

Palm Beach charity ball season

January – March

Committee-run formal events confirmed a year ahead at the island's clubs and resorts.

Booking window: Six to nine months. A January ball is designed the previous spring.

Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Late October – early November

Broker lounges, builder hospitality and dockside brand environments across multiple marina sites.

Booking window: Commit by July; dock allocations and freight staging queue months out.

Orlando convention season

January – June and September – November

Trade shows, general sessions and sponsor environments at the convention centre and the resort corridor.

Booking window: Six to eight weeks, with rigging approval submitted early.

Nights of Lights, St. Augustine

Mid-November – January

A long downtown tourism season that pulls hotel, restaurant and retail holiday installations with it.

Booking window: Book by September so fabrication and the northbound trip are scheduled first.

Hurricane season

June – September

Daily afternoon storms statewide and real named-storm risk; outdoor work carries a written contingency.

Booking window: Book normally, with a decision threshold and rebuild rate agreed in advance.
