Outdoor Texas is a materials problem before it is a design problem. Ninety-plus degrees, direct sun from noon, gusts across an open field and a crowd that will lean on anything that looks solid. The design has to be beautiful at 10am on day one and still standing at midnight on day three.

Brief

Give a festival site floral that photographs as a destination — a moment people queue to stand in front of — while holding through multi-day heat and crowd contact.

Build

Ballasted steel frames with wind-rated wrapping, foam-free mechanics and hydration built into the structure. Heat-tolerant varieties in the sun-exposed positions, premium faux where the piece would be touched all weekend. Crew on site each morning to refresh fresh accents before gates.

Result

Structures that stayed upright and photogenic across the full run, with a daily refresh cycle instead of a rebuild.
