Airport and public-space installation

Dallas airport — floral in the hardest environment we install in

An airport is the strictest room we work in. Badged crew, an escorted load-in window measured in hours, fire-marshal sign-off on every structure, and a piece that thousands of people walk past daily under HVAC that dries fresh product in days. Design decisions here are made by the constraints first.

Dallas, Texas

Studio record: Flower Fairy installed floral in a terminal at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The terminal letter, dates, commissioning party and project photography are being confirmed before they are published here; imagery on this page is representative of the build.

Brief
Put a floral moment into a high-traffic terminal that holds for weeks without daily maintenance, meets the airport's fire and safety review, and installs inside a single escorted window.
Build
Preserved and high-grade faux botanicals on a self-supporting armature, fire-rated and fully documented for the safety review before shipping. Nothing anchored into terminal finishes; all weight carried by ballast. Pre-assembled in Miami so the on-site window was assembly and finishing only.
Result
A terminal installation that cleared compliance, went in inside its window, and held its look for weeks in constant conditioned air.

Scope of work

  • Fire-rated materials with documentation for airport safety review
  • Badged crew, escorted overnight load-in
  • Self-supporting ballasted structure, no anchoring
  • Long-hold preserved and faux specification for weeks-long runs
