The race, the dates and the 2026 debut
The Grand Prix debuted at MADRING (IFEMA) on September 11–13, 2026, and, according to MADRING, drew 352,618 attendees that weekend. The 2027 edition, the FORMULA 1 LENOVO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA, runs September 10–12, 2027.
For IFEMA and MADRING, every detail of a floral plan remains subject to the official production. Final scope depends on permissions, the sponsor category, circuit rules and the event's production plan.
What we learned at Formula 1 Miami
Our Formula 1 Miami work was hospitality and suite florals under race-weekend conditions. The public event record: the 2025 Miami Grand Prix ran May 2–4 at Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens. The study is published with the client's approval.
Race weekend is a hard production calendar: credentialed access, a load-in window measured in hours, temperatures that punish fresh stems, and suites that have to look finished before the first guest walks in. Everything was pre-built and crated in our Kendall workshop so on-site time was assembly, not fabrication. Premium faux carried structural elements and fresh was reserved for close-contact surfaces. Suites and hospitality spaces were finished ahead of guest arrival and held through a full weekend of heat and traffic without a rebuild.
Four lessons from the circuit
Floral is only part of the problem. The design has to work around credentials, the loading dock, the install window, heat, wind, cameras and a strike while the venue is still operating. Every material and every module is chosen to survive the schedule, not only to look good in the render.
- Design for the window. Everything that can arrive panelized arrives panelized; on the circuit, building from scratch is lost time and operational risk.
- Specify for the heat. Fresh flowers are reserved for close-contact points; structure and background elements must last the weekend.
- Think in camera. Hospitality is seen from the suite, from the phone and from the broadcast.
- Plan the strike. The installation ends when the venue returns to operation, so strike, packing and traceability are approved alongside the render.
Hospitality suites
Suites, lounges and sponsor dinners need floral designed for conversation, circulation and camera. Hospitality is seen from the suite, from a phone and from the broadcast, so height, contrast and repetition matter more than filling every centimeter.
Specify for the weekend, not the render: fresh flowers where guests get close, and structure and background elements chosen to last through the event.
Hotel lobbies during race week
Hotel groups hosting teams, sponsors or guests can use the same approach in the lobby: one strong, freestanding piece that reads on arrival and survives constant traffic. Brief it with the hotel's own rules on access hours, loading and what may touch the building, and plan the strike alongside the install.
Brand activations and fan zones
Entry pieces, photo points and activations for fan zones should read from a distance without turning into a catalog photocall. In the paddock, proposals should be modular, light to coordinate and ready for the permissions and schedules the circuit sets.
What ships from Miami and what is sourced in Madrid
Our model for Spain is the one we used in Miami, stretched across an ocean. Design, drawings and structures are prepared in our Miami workshop, shipped ahead, and the same team travels to install. Anything that can arrive panelized arrives panelized, because on a circuit, building from scratch is lost time and operational risk.
Fresh flowers are bought locally close to the date, so they arrive with the most life possible. The balance between fresh, preserved and premium faux is part of the brief, not an afterthought.
Budgets
Our published guide price for the Grand Prix: a fabricated activation starts from €15,000; a complete environment with structure, rigging and crew starts from €50,000 or more. The final budget depends on scope, venue rights and the production window.
What to send us
- The space: floor plan, heights, load points, guest route, exits and venue restrictions.
- The brand: objective, exact color, logo, image rights, camera distance and which parts should be fresh, preserved or premium faux.
- The rhythm: access time, opening time, hospitality duration, permitted maintenance and strike deadline.
- The contingency: wind, rain, heat, delayed freight and a change of location, so the plan B keeps the idea.
