Ponte Vedra Beach is roughly a five-hour drive from our Kendall workshop, far enough that we sell it honestly as a ship-and-two-day-install trip rather than a same-day run. We fabricate the structural piece in Miami, dry-fit it before it leaves, and send it north with a crew that plans on an overnight rather than a dawn departure.

This region is roughly five hours by road from our Kendall workshop, so we sell it as a ship-and-two-day-install trip: structures travel by truck, the crew drives up the day before, and an overnight stay is built into the schedule rather than hidden in the price. Where dates allow, we combine a Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine, Jacksonville or Amelia Island commission into a single northbound run. No airfreight and no crew flights appear on the quote.
Lead time
Plan on six to eight weeks for a custom build, and longer for peak spring or tournament-week Saturdays because venue and tournament calendars, not our workshop, set the pace. Historic-venue approvals in St. Augustine add time at the front of the process.
Fabrication and sourcing
Structures, backdrops, faux florals and artificial trees are fabricated and dry-fitted in Kendall before they travel north complete. Fresh flowers travel with us in a conditioned vehicle, or the most delicate stems are sourced close to the date through Jacksonville-area wholesalers so they arrive with their full life ahead of them.
Permits and venue approvals
Golf resorts set tournament-week access and hospitality-tent rules; historic St. Augustine venues prohibit fixings into original fabric and several require curator or conservation sign-off; downtown St. Augustine streets are pedestrian-only with pre-dawn cart access during Nights of Lights. Resort and hotel venues on Amelia Island set their own loading-dock and elevator schedules, confirmed before design is final.
Climate and floral specification
North Florida is genuinely cooler than Miami — a winter evening ceremony can sit near freezing, which shocks tropical material, while summer brings heat, humidity and a near-daily afternoon storm. Coastal sites add salt and steady wind. We specify by season here more than almost anywhere else: temperate garden material in the cool months, hardier structural work in summer, and ballast for anything outdoors year-round.
