Crew and travel

There is no Flower Fairy crew flight to Calgary. Structures, backdrops and artificial trees are fabricated and dry-fitted in Kendall, freighted west by a Canadian carrier, and installed under our lead designer with a vetted Calgary-area crew handling the physical build. Banff and Canmore add mountain-road transport time to the same trip rather than a separate freight run.

Lead time

Plan on six to eight weeks for a custom build with freight and customs factored in. Stampede-week work and peak Banff wedding Saturdays need a commitment months earlier, since venue and crew calendars fill fastest around those windows.

Fabrication and sourcing

Structures, faux florals and artificial trees are fabricated and dry-fitted in Kendall before they ship. Fresh flowers for a Calgary or Banff date are bought from Alberta-area wholesalers close to install, since altitude and a long freight run are both hard on fresh stock shipped from Miami.

Permits and venue approvals

Calgary and Banff National Park venues each set their own insurance, dock and fire-code rules, and Banff and Lake Louise properties sit inside a national park with their own access and vendor requirements. Cross-border freight carries its own customs paperwork, handled as part of the quote.

Climate and floral specification

Calgary's chinook winds can swing temperatures more than 20 degrees Celsius in a day, and winter is dry and can arrive with little warning, which is unkind to fresh flowers outdoors and kind to artificial and preserved product. Banff and Canmore sit at higher altitude with cooler nights even in summer, so mountain-resort installations are specified with that altitude and temperature swing in mind.

Do you have a Calgary studio?

No. Our only workshop is in Kendall, Miami. We fabricate and dry-fit there, freight to Calgary, and our lead designer installs on site with a vetted local crew — we travel to Canada rather than maintaining a Canadian address.

Have you done projects in Calgary before?

Not yet published. Our case studies are Formula 1 Miami, the Miami Open and AT&T Stadium in the United States, and we link to those as the closest comparable work rather than claim a Calgary project we cannot show.

Can you build Calgary Stampede sponsor hospitality?

Yes. We design tent and hospitality floral built for heavy foot traffic and fast turnaround, similar in scale to our Miami Open and Formula 1 Miami work. Commit to a fabricated build by April for a July Stampede date.

Do you cover Banff and Canmore as well as Calgary?

Yes. Both are planned on the same freight trip as Calgary, with extra mountain-road transport time and altitude-adjusted floral specification added to the schedule.

Can you legally send a crew to install in Canada?

We do not send our own installation crew across the border. Our lead designer travels to Calgary and directs a vetted local crew for the physical build, which keeps the work authorized and the quote honest about who is on site.

Do you have artificial trees that survive an Alberta winter?

Yes. Our artificial olive, magnolia and Christmas tree families hold their form through Calgary's dry, chinook-swept winter, with a fire-retardant certificate available for indoor venues.
