Sarasota sits well up Florida's Gulf coast from our Kendall workshop, a drive we usually pair with a Naples date on the same trip since the two markets sit on one road. We fabricate the structural piece — a gala arch, a museum-lawn backdrop, a resort ballroom ceiling — in Miami, dry-fit it before it leaves, and drive it north with the crew that built it.
This page also covers Longboat Key and Lakewood Ranch, two very different neighbors: Longboat Key is a narrow barrier-island resort corridor, while Lakewood Ranch is one of the fastest-growing planned communities in the country, with a corporate and event base that has grown alongside it. One page and one logistics plan covers all three because the drive and the crew are the same.
We have not yet published a Sarasota project, and this page says so directly. What we can point to is the studio behind our published Miami work — five generations, over forty years, Formula 1 Miami, the Miami Open, Chotto Matte, AT&T Stadium — with an honest Gulf-coast travel line rather than a hidden one.

We have no published Sarasota project yet, so no invented case studies appear here. When one is photographed and cleared by the client, it will be added with the venue, date and scope, exactly like every other project on the site.
Until then, the fairest evidence is our published Miami and Florida work. A Sarasota gala arch or garden backdrop is designed, welded and dry-fitted on the same shop floor as our Formula 1 Miami and AT&T Stadium builds, then driven up the coast by the same crew.
For museum and garden venues we start from curatorial or horticultural approval; for resort galas we start from the venue's own ballroom specifications; for St. Armands Circle and Lakewood Ranch retail or corporate work we start from how long a piece needs to last, which usually decides between fresh, faux or a mix.

Each room sets its own rules — ceiling height, rigging points, load-in window, sightlines. These are the Sarasota-area venues we plan for, and what floral actually has to do inside them.
Museum & historic estate
Gala evenings on the grounds of a Gilded Age mansion and art museum, where placement is agreed with the museum before design is final.
Botanical garden
Bayfront garden events, home to the Lights in Bloom holiday season, where our work complements existing planting rather than adding to the density.
Performing arts
Lobby and gala receptions around a landmark purple hall; builds need to hold up under stage and lobby lighting.
Performing arts
Opening-night galas and benefit performances in a restored historic theater, where structural work is freestanding and precise.
Resort hotel
Beachfront ballroom and lawn events on Longboat Key, formal enough for a symmetrical framed entrance.
Resort hotel
Downtown waterfront ballrooms for galas and weddings, with loading and elevator rules set by the hotel.
Resort hotel
Golf-and-beach club events where outdoor pieces are ballasted against Gulf wind.
Historic estate
A Mediterranean-Revival waterfront mansion used for weddings and private events, with the same freestanding, no-fixings approach we use in other historic venues.
Retail & dining district
Storefront and restaurant-patio dressing on Sarasota's landmark shopping circle, usually faux for a season-long look.
When to commit, by season. These windows are what a buildable date looks like once fabrication, freight and crew travel are all in the schedule.
A major food-and-wine festival that draws sponsor and hospitality floral attention to Sarasota's dining scene.
Booking window: Six to eight weeks for a sponsor or hospitality build.
Opening nights and benefit galas at the Sarasota Opera House and around the Van Wezel, the market's most formal floral commissions.
Booking window: Eight to twelve weeks for a custom build; opening-night Saturdays go first.
A downtown festival with receptions and sponsor lounges that want branded, photograph-ready floral moments.
Booking window: Four to six weeks for a lounge or reception build.
A lit botanical-garden holiday season that anchors Sarasota's winter tourism and retail calendar.
Booking window: Book by October so fabrication and the northbound trip are scheduled before the season opens.
The bulk of Sarasota and Longboat Key weddings and society events, avoiding the summer storm months.
Booking window: Eight to twelve weeks for a custom build at a named resort or estate venue.
Sarasota is roughly a four-hour drive up Florida's Gulf coast from our Kendall workshop, so pieces travel by truck with the crew that built them. We prefer to pair a Sarasota trip with a Naples date on the same run when both schedules allow, which keeps travel cost honest for both clients. No airfreight and no crew flights appear on the quote.
Plan on six to eight weeks for a custom build. A flower-wall rental or a re-dress of an existing structure moves faster. Opera and ballet gala Saturdays and Lights in Bloom season need more runway because venue calendars, not our workshop, set the pace.
Structures, backdrops, faux florals and artificial trees are fabricated and dry-fitted in Kendall before they leave. Fresh flowers travel with the crew in a conditioned vehicle, or are sourced from Gulf-coast-area wholesalers close to install when the dressing schedule calls for it.
Museum and garden venues, including The Ringling and Selby Gardens, require placement approval from curatorial or horticultural staff before a design is finalized. Resort hotels set their own loading-dock and elevator schedules. Outdoor work on public spaces like St. Armands Circle follows the organizer's or city's event permit, which we build inside of rather than apply for on your behalf.
Sarasota shares the Gulf coast's humidity and afternoon-storm pattern with Naples and Tampa, kind to fresh flowers indoors and hard on them in direct sun on a Longboat Key terrace. Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, so outdoor builds in that window carry a written weather plan: what comes down, at what point, and who decides. For Lights in Bloom and other long-running outdoor holds, we lean toward faux and UV-rated pieces.
Flower Fairy, a five-generation floral studio, designs and fabricates luxury floral installations in its Kendall, Miami workshop and drives them up the Gulf coast to Sarasota, usually paired with a Naples date on the same trip. Installations start at $2,500, fully fabricated environments at $18,000.
Yes. Longboat Key's resort weddings and Lakewood Ranch's corporate and clubhouse events are both planned on the same Sarasota-area trip, with the extra drive time built into the schedule.
Yes. Flower walls and backdrops can be rented or custom built, delivered and installed by our own crew, and collected after the event, with rental availability depending on the date and what is already booked.
We can supply holiday florals and artificial trees for businesses and private events around the Lights in Bloom season; book by October so fabrication and the northbound trip are scheduled before the season opens.
Eight to twelve weeks for a custom build, longer for an opening-night Saturday at the Sarasota Opera House or Van Wezel, since those venue calendars set the pace ahead of our own fabrication schedule.
